The Best Vintage Stores in London

Vintage shopping is a way to ethically elevate your wardrobe. For many, vintage shopping is an athletic sport. London is the holy grail of vintage shopping. From bargain finds to designer archives, vintage shops across London cater to all kinds of shoppers. If you’re a fan of meaningful clothing that deviates from trends, use this guide to plan your next shopping adventure around London.

The Best Vintage Stores in London

Brick Lane Vintage Market

Brick Lane Vintage Market is a vintage clothing-lovers playground. This is the UK’s biggest vintage market. Brick Lane is a maze of one-of-a-kind finds dating back to the 1920s. Each stall is completely different from one another. No matter what you’re on the hunt for— you’ll find it. There are hundreds of vendors and it’s easy to spend hours shopping.

GOOD

Good carries timeless, high-quality pieces for a bargain price. The selection at Good is classic and wearable, meaning the clothing feels modern and not at all costumey. The shop is very well-curated and, unlike many other vintage stores in the area, the selection is manageable and neat. Good is my go-to stop for quality finds that won’t break the bank. For lack of a better word… it’s good stuff.

Magpie Vintage

The Magpie Vintage store in Islington is what dreams are made of. Magpie Vintage has a few locations and a stall inside Brick Lane, but their standalone storefront in Islington is just darling. It’s easy to see their store is curated with love. Magpie Vintage excels in sourcing 1950s-1970s pieces that transport you back in time yet remain very wearable today.

WOW Retro

WOW Retro is tucked away on Drury Lane in the heart of Soho. This vintage shop is jam-packed with clothing, shoes, handbags, sunglasses— you name it, WOW Retro has plenty of it. It’s hard to not fall in love with this place.

House of Vintage

You can’t go wrong with a shopping day in the Brick Lane neighborhood. After you’ve left the underground market, there’s plenty more to explore. House of Vintage is one of my favorite stores in the area (even Vogue magazine agrees with me). House of Vintage breathes new life into vintage clothing. They collaborate with local designers to reinvent vintage garments into one-of-a-kind pieces. Whether your style is sporty, feminine, classic, or punk, House of Vintage sources custom threads that cater to all types of vintage lovers.

Reign Vintage

Reign Vintage is beloved by many. It’s a go-to vintage shop with fun-finds from the 1960s-1990s. It’s dependable and stocked full of eclectic and unique pieces. Also, Reign Vintage delivers throughout the UK. Skip searching through the racks and have your one-of-a-kind purchase dropped right at your doorstep.

POP boutique

POP boutique is another Soho favorite. It’s small but packs a real punch. POP boutique stands out with its denim selection. If you’re a vintage Levi’s fanatic like me, you’ll have the best time looking through all the racks of jeans and denim jackets. Soho is home to many popular vintage shops, but this little storefront tucked away near Seven Dials definitely holds its own against the rest.

Cow London

Located in Covent Garden, Cow has everything you can ask for. This store is busy, similar to the neighborhood it’s located in. Here, you’ll find designer brands, handmade re-work pieces, vintage jerseys, and more. In my opinion, they heavily cater to the Y2K trend. So, if that’s your style, then Cow is your best bet.
